Better Android software has just released its newest version of Better Keyboard, Version 5.0. This newest design allows the user to continuously record until the button is pressed again with its re-designed speech input button. The speech recognition update also includes recognizing punctuation, such as saying the word “comma” after a word and it is automatically inserted.

Better Keyboard has also added a slew of new skins to the app. These will let the user customize the way their on screen virtual keyboard looks. There is guaranteed to be one you like in this list of unique and fun keyboards.
• Dark Gray: The buttons on this keyboard come slightly curved at the corners with a nice gray and black gradient color that accents the white lettering on the keys perfectly.
• iPhone: For those who like the look but not the action of the iPhone, this keyboard is for you. It mimics the look perfectly with white buttons over an iPhone blue background.
• Glossy: This is a see-through keyboard look with no individual keys, simply the white letters on a black background.
• Ice: A light skin background with white keys and light blue symbols, very sharp looking overall.
• Gum: Bubble gum pink keys set over a black skin with white letters.
• Oil Slick: This skin is black with faded edges on the keys and matching yellow accents.
• Smoog/Smoog Red: A reverse of the average keyboard with white keys and black symbols make this a nice change.
Last but not least is the piece de resistance for this little app, the Hello Kitty skin. This skin is hot pink keys accented by black lettering and includes a Hello Kitty logo. Who says Android is not girl friendly? There are quite a few more skins available with this app, simply check the Android Market for Better Keyboard.
