For those addicted to podcasts, there is an app for you. The Stitcher podcast streamer allows for your favorite podcasts to be sent directly to your phone. The comprehensive list allows an almost guaranteed hit when searching for your preferred podcast and lightning fast streaming means almost instant gratification.

While Stitcher does not allow for manual addition of a podcast if it is not on its list, it does, however, take feedback of wanted podcasts and adds them in record time. Stitcher plays the download cast almost instantly as opposed to others that make you wait for the buffering. The trick here is the Stitcher does not send the podcast directly to your phone first but recompresses it for a much cleaner sound and operation.
The menu set up is quite simple and compiling a Favorites list takes very little time. With an expansive catalog in place of podcasts, the list should come together quite nicely. Requests for ones that are missing are taken quite seriously and the addition of these happens relatively quickly adding to their ever expanding library on a daily basis.
There are a few cons to using Stitcher, particularly if you are searching for a podcast that is slightly older. Stitcher only supports the most recent of casts on the list which may be a detriment to some users. The other downside is that it will not save your place on close but on the upside, it works great on the background of other apps.
For the cleanest, almost instantaneous streaming of your favorite podcast, Stitcher is one app that needs a closer look. While the ability to listen only to the most recent may be a turn off for some, Stitcher will stream a 30 minute cast in about 5 minutes so there is a great advantage in this.

I use a Garminfone and sticher works seamlessly. Super app. I looked around a lot to find a way to listen to Daily Audio Bible on my phone when away from my computer. Sticher did it as well as a number of Public radio programs I love. Good work guys.
