With the popularity of social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, more and more people feel the need to stay connected while mobile. The Touiteur app for Android does this in a much more streamlined fashion than just about any other Twitter app available. This newest application from Levelup Studios is available in two versions.

Touiteur costs nothing for the basic version and there is a premium version available for around three dollars. The premium version includes such features as a selection of themes between light and dark. This version also includes three different sizes of widgets, 4x1, 4x2 and 4x3, allowing the user to customize the size of their interface.

There are some very nice features to this app that will not be found on many other Twitter applications. When the Tweet button is selected, the menu will bounce down and the ability to color code the people that you follow is also included. This will allow the user to select a particular color for a single user or a group of users that are followed regularly in order to see up-to-the-minute updates.

There is a support for multiple accounts on Twitter along with a wide variety of notification options. URL shortening and photo Twittering are also supported in this new application, which are two options not found in many other applications of this type. This new Touiteur application as more options than any other one available in the Android Market for Twitter.

For those addicted to Twitter and tweeting, this app may be the only one they ever use again. With the ability to customize the contact list and follower groups, you'll never miss another update again. This is still in development, which only means there are more improvements to come in the future and only great things can be expected from Levelup and their development team.
