This week brings yet another update for Google App users. In the past, Google has taken it upon them to try out a new feature on another app before actual rolling out to its intended target app. Android users everywhere will see an update this week to Google apps that should please not only android owners but those keeping an eye on what is going on in the Android world.

The Star Syncing update should delight anyone that has been waiting for a way to bring web favorites on your desktop straight to your mobile. Star syncing stores the places that have been marked as favorites on your Google account at home. Then you are able to access them when mobile, keeping information of particular places or items at your fingertips.
Google Maps is getting a bit of a tweak also by incorporating search suggestions that are based in your browsing history. These are supposed to be “personalized” as Google puts it but from all reports, that is a bit of an overestimation. Google has been using these types of “suggestions” for quite some time in the accessing your search history to build a suggested list, not only on mobile but also Google.com.
Google also has come along with a possible new feature that should be hitting the navigation app fairly quickly. A “night mode” will be added to make viewing the app in low light much easier on the eyes. This will come in particularly handy for those travelling in the evening, allowing for less time for eye adjustment to read the screen.
The New Google Maps 3.4 features need a few things first before proper operation. Make sure that you are signed in to your Google account and that saving the web history is turned on. Beginning Tuesday, the Nexus One owners will receive this update over the air and all other users will need to check the Market for the update towards week’s end.
