Google's desktop syncing capability for Android has been a bit lacking, admittedly: there is no desktop syncing method that's easy and standard across the platform, and its been a thorn for Android phone users for awhile now. Just drag and drop, pretty much has been the rallying cry for syncing with Android. T-Mobile has begun bundling DoubleTwist, a syncing app, with all of their new Android phones, to compensate for the issue.

DoubleTwist includes all of the default features for the app, including multi-device support, full library management and synced photos and movies as well. T-Mobile will be heavily pushing the inclusion of the software in stores, adding banners in some stores to let customers know they've gone out of their way to provide a feature that Google won't by default.
It sounds like a minor thing, but sync is a serious feature for a smartphone, especially power users who need to quickly sync their phones to the content on their computers. Dragging and dropping everything isn't really an option for these kind of users really, and the iPhone included the feature for iTunes, and even Windows Mobile and BlackBerry have included the feature practically from the beginning. Palm has included the feature since early on, and still this is a feature unaddressed by Android or Google, which is a shame in many ways.
T-Mobile will definitely earn some happy thoughts from customers for shoring up this important feature, and it may signal Google that they need to sit up and take notice of this lacking feature, and perhaps issue their own built-in sync ability. We'll let you know what happens regarding this niggling issue.
