TMobile Make Massive Gains World Wide

Posted on 24 January 2010 by admin

TMobile is among the largest mobile phone companies in the world and with a new deal just completed they are getting even bigger. They currently offer TMobile phones range  and a set of prices to compete with any other cell phone company. So if you are in the market for a contract phone or a pay as you go phone there is something that will suit your needs no matter what they are.

Mobile phone users are at liberty to take their pick from a great variety of manufacturers like LG, Samsung, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Nokia to name a few thus giving the potential user fantastic choice.

With the newly done deal with Orange in the UK the market there now consists of 28.4 million customers, which is a really huge amount. Do keep in mind that some of these customers will have more than one phone provider so this customer base is not necessarily exclusive to TMobile.

With a further deal in the pipeline for a little later in the year between Deutsche Telekom's TMobile and the French division of Orange then sales will top $13.5 billion. Would you feel this is good news for the consumer? Thoughts of the word "monopoly" come to mind which means inevitable job losses and less choice for the consumer.

Okay, with this all said and shortly to be done, there is more. In the US market, the third largest telecoms carrier - Sprint Nextel - are in talks with TMobile to accept a multi-billion dollar bid and make TMobile even larger than it is now. The current value of Sprint Nextel is said to be around $10.6 billion.

The US division of TMobile is at the moment the third largest telecoms carrier behind Verizon and AT&T but this could be set to change.

Right, to change the subject somewhat. Within the past few weeks TMobile UK made an announcement that the Android smartphone called Pulse is available to its customers.

The price of the Android smartphone will be 180 UK pounds sterling, which is currently $286 US. This phone is only available to TMobile at the moment, which is something of a coup for them really. The Pulse Android phone has the biggest screen when compared to other Android phones at 3.5 inches. Its an HVGA touchscreen with a trackball.

It possesses a 3.2 megapixel camera with a TeleNav GPS system. The chipset is Qualcomm's MSM7200A. The memory is 2GB in size and there is an SD card slot for your cabling. Total weight is 130g.

The search engine giant Google who have developed the Android sets have said that although TMobile have exclusive rights to the Pulse, there will be other Android sets available towards the end of this year - 2009. This can only be good news for the customer.

Article seems to have some bad information. First, based upon number of customers T-Mobile is not third in the US, but forth, behind Sprint.
Second, these rumors have been around for at least a year on T-Mobile buying sprint. They raise the stock price until people figure out there are no talks going on.
