Specifically, Im using a Motorola Droid, running Android operating system with the standard browser. If there is an inherent way to do it, thats great. If there is an android app that does it for me, thats great too.

look for a “desktop version” link on the pages you open. i’m on N97 and opera mobile opens desktop vesrion of web pages by default. unfortunately, opera mobile isn’t available for android.
