Yes you can I have a Verizon Droid Eris flashed to Cricket I currently only have talk and text no MMS or WAP.It is possible just find a good flasher because, you could baked the phone.
Good Luck!!
If you do an update to a flashed Cricket phone it will overwrite the flash and you’d have to get it flashed again. Make sure you go to a really good flash place. Some places already have the phone flashed for sale, so you know theirs is working properly before you flash yours. I’m getting my HTC EVO flashed tomorrow. I went into a shop today to try their EVO first and everything worked. Goodluck!
so, If I buy a droid form verizon…And I go to cricket wireless, to have it flashed, everything will work? Because, I currently have the Samsung Messager2 And I have Unlimited text, pic text, talk, internet, ringbacks, apps, flexbucket, and a bunch more. So I want to know what else I wouldn’t be able to have on my new droid. People are telling me I won’t have internet, Or Pic messaging. Which will really suck if it’s true. Please help! thank you!!!
Can someone name some places where I could either get my Motorola Devour or my brothers Motorola Droid (both from verizon) flashed at or even a place to buy flashed phones (houston, TX)
You can flash a Droid to Cricket. Its fairly easy. You just need the right software. Also, you must root the phone first.
As far as web goes, there are 2 settings that need altered. The first is the APN your phone uses. The default is set to Verizon, and thus you will never get internet access. Click ‘Voice Dialer’ and say ‘Open APNs’ then you’ll need to change those settings to cricket’s information (these settings can be found on google). After that you’ll need to edit the internal information in regards to your network. This is found by using QPST and a virtual serial port to read your phones information, you then write ‘yournumber@mycricket.com’ and the password which is ‘cricket’ to the phone and you’ll have internet access.
