So, I have never unlocked a phone before and I'm curious if there is any way to unlock a Google Android (only on T-mobile) and put it on my Verizon account. I heard something about an unlock coming for the Android, but I'm also wondering what the ramifications for doing this are?

As of right now no since it has just came out no one has experimented to see if the phone can be unlocked but t-mobile claims that it is locked to the t-mobile network and they wont realize the unlock code until you have been in a contract for at least 90 days. so i guess we will just have to wait and see as im sure you remember when shortly after the iphone came out that teenager figured out how to hack the iphone but to answer question right now no, but give it time because im sure someone will find a way =]

T-Mobile is a GSM network, Verizon is a CDMA network two totally different technologies … so as of right now anyways.. no
and i do think it says alot about Verizon if T-mobile is able to come out with a better phone

No it is not possible. T-mobile uses SIM cards and the G1 requires a sim card to work, since verizon doesnt use SIM cards it will not work on thier network
