I bought the Backflip, seems like a really cool phone. However, I'm not really using the real keyboard that much, since the touchscreen keyboard works pretty good. Plus I'm not really into the facebook and twitter, which are some of the things the backflip seems to be mainly designed for. I like to text using the virtual keyboard, and browse the internet, which it looks like I could do with the iphone. Not sure about the comparison between the two on speed, browsing, screen size, etc.. I still have time to take the phone back, but not sure what to do. Should I take it back and get the iphone, or stick with the android phone? Thanks for any tips!
Actually I've been able to download apps, but it's from the android market only. One of the main complaints i've heard other people have is you can't download 3rd party apps.

u got the wrong phone for sure, any phone by HTC is pretty much the BEST. HTC phones are powered by android or u might know it as google inc. id say check out the htc my touch, or some of there other phone. i have played with both i phones iphone3g’s and many of the phones HTC has, the my touch by far has the best apps and touchscreen and really is the best phone i have ever seen bar none. its better than the 3g’s which sucks compared the the my touch, if u really wanna get a nice phone try and find the google IO convention my touch on ebay or somewhere else its a custom version of the mytouch that is worth 800$ no joke for a phone it is worth that and allot more though, think of the 3g’s but faster u can do allot more for free and its got a better camera its just an all around better phone.

Wow the BackFlip is the worst phone. If its Android it would allow you to download apps from the Android Market which it doesn’t and they replace “Google Search” with “Yahoo Search” WTF. Its better off you get the Iphone but Android always win over Iphone.

Take it back. The iphone has a much bigger screen. It’s more popular too. Haven’t you noticed that many companies have copied the iphone since it came out? Iphone is faster, with tons of apps and it has the best web experience out of any phone. Go check out http://www.apple.com and it show how great the iphone 3g/3gs is.
