mobile sites and the Samsung Moment…..?

y does a powerful phone such as the Samsung Moment have so many dam mobile sites instead of real desktop like HTML web sites???? even my T-Mobile G1 appears to have more real HTML websites. is it a Android 1.5 issue? its annoying? will the update to Android 2.0 change things? i jus got this phone 5 days ago & im considering returning it because of this
