I've had my Sony Ericsson XPERIA x10 for a month or so now on o2-UK, but all of a sudden it won't charge and i don't know why. I've tried using other chargers that are the same and charging it via USB but neither work. Has anybody else had this problem or know how to resolve it? I'm desperate!
P.S: the most recent app i installed from the android market was Juice Defender to try improve the battery life, surely that couldn't cause it?
Thanks, will they replace the battery for free because its under warranty, or do i take it to o2 and see what they say?

Sony Ericsson says either:
1) USB not properly attached
2) Battery not properly attached
3) Damaged Battery

I just had this happen to me yesterday. At first I thought it was because of my USB port on the phone itself but I realized that I could connect it to my computer, only problem was that it wouldn’t charge.
I then replaced the battery with a brand new one (cost me a bit) but it works fine now.
However since Im still covered by warranty through my provider, I got them to give me a brand new X10 just in case (I never mentioned the faulty battery issue)
So my suggestion is try connecting it through computer to see if it detects the phone (after you mount it), if it does then the battery is your most likely culprit.

my xperia will not charger through a 12v car socket but does from my computer any one know why ?

Hello I hope the answer helps, I had same problem after installing an update from sony ericsson just noticed my usb and charger stoped charging my phone, I did a factory reset after backing up my data and everything is perfect now, worked for me hope it does same for you.
to do it go to settings, sd card an phone storange and choose factory reset, worked for me.

I’ve just bought the x10 mini & i’ve had it 2 days now. I seem to be having alot of problems with the charging. It charges for a bit, then it stops charging but still displays the charge light at the top of the phone. Is there anything anyone can suggest as im a little confused as to why this is happening. usb socket on phone gets damaged to easy,,,, deisgn defect on the x10. lots of people are having problems with it.

i got one recently , it was working fine but i left it for a few day without turning on/using it and now it wont charge or turn on at all , also i do not have a usb cable that will fit to try that

I think mine must be the usb slot. Because it wont connect to the computer or charge with other chargers of the same sort and i’ve had mine for about 4 months, I guess mines pretty screwed and gonna cost me a bit of money
