i know both have pretty much same features. I'm not up yo date with all thios android windows stuff. All ican gather is that the HD2 will let you make word documents and power points and all that and that the Windows app store is not as rich and varied as the android. Please tell me the differences. I dont really care too much about the camera as long as they take pretty alright pictures. Will windows store come out with more games and free apps in the future. What is better and how to get my hands on the HD2 in Australia.
i'm probably going with the HTC HD2 but the Sony Ericsson just dose not appeal as much. Is the HTC to big for a pocket i have an iphone currently and its fits well. Will it fit in my pocket.

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 vs HTC HD2?
Motorola Droid: How To Setup Yahoo Email
The HTC HD 2 and the Sony X10 are both extremely powerful multimedia phones (SUPER SMART PHONE) You can’t go wrong with either.
Get the Sony X10 IF:
-you want a more stylish phone
-if you want more apps in Android market
-if the Android OS is easier for you to use than Win Mobile 6.5
-if you want a better camera
Don’t GET the Sony X10 IF:
-you don’t integrate the internet withyour phone (ex. contacts, music, photos)
– you aren’t a SE fan, as expected they will diminish the phone with branding
-you don’t have a Ps3, games, music , photos videos are shared between the phone and the console
-if you care about organizing apps and programs
Get the HTC HD2 IF
-you want a HUGE screen for videos and internet ( doubles as a netbook) The phone overall is 5 inch
- finish documents do sideshows, write essay in word, email like a mini net book (easy typing)
-want a personalize organized hommescreen
- want to take decent pics not pro ones
Don’t get Htc HD2 if
you don’t want a 5 inch phone in your pocket
you don’t like the buttons on the bottom of the HTC HD2
BOTTOM LINE:
GET THE PRODUCT THAT IS WRITE FOR U
Personally I live in Canada and I hoe Rogers picks up The HTC HD2
tell me what your choice is, mate. Good day.

I currently have HD2. It is not big as I thought. It’s pocketable.
Xperia X10 offers one big advantage, which is the front camera which can be used for free video calling over Skype…
But then again, my choice for you would definitely be the HTC HD2. The thing about this phone is it’s ready to go straight out of the box… It’s gorgeous, super thin, yet durable. The Xperia X10 on the other hand -even though it runs Android which I prefer to Windows Mobile- but it needs a lot of work and customization and app installation to give you a decent experience…
As for me, I’d probably choose the Xperia X10, root it, hack it, and unleash its full potential.
Does it support flash? I’m not sure it has a front camera…
Personally I went for the HD2. I switched from the U.S. Verizon were I had the android phone, Motorola Droid. The HD2 has made Windows Mobile 6.5 a thousand times better with the HTC sence UI. It makes it customizable and extremely user friendly, as much so if not more than android. It does support flash lite so most flash sites work fine. The app store for winmo has a lot of free apps already as well as thousands of third party apps on the web. However the HD2 came with a lot of pre installed apps that i had to download for droid, like flashlight, compass, facebook, tweeter, myspace. I am extremely happy with the HD2 far more than android phones. Its your choice and you cant really go wrong.
The pictures are great, and it has a wide but very slim profile, very easy in the pocket. good luck!
In response to various bits of the previous posts
The x10 doesnt have a front camera that I can see… but it does have a customisable home screen (x 3) and it does come with things such as facebook preinstalled, all I had to do was link my fb account to the phone, which took 5 seconds (enter password and username…. not exactly rocket science!) I imagine its the same for twitter but I dont have an account. Installing apps is completely painless anyway so even if it didnt have anything pre installed its no reason to not get the phone. The touchscreen is really nice, you can actually send a text with no errors with the screen in portrait (which is better than the rubbish satio) It also has a light on it too… and is ready to go in general out of the box so I dont know what some of the others are talking about?
The screen on the Sony is slightly smaller than the hd2, but then so is the phone… and the screen is slightly higher res on the sony.
I wouldnt say any phone takes ‘pro’ pictures
The x10 is very attractive in the ‘flesh’ and fits in the hand much better than the satio I binned before it despite being slightly wider and taller (although thinner) I would say I have average sized hands, bigger than most womens but smaller than most brick layers.. I would say its the perfect touchscreen phone size I have come accross so far, its big but it doesnt in any way look too big and fits nicely.
Im definitely NOT a sony fan, I havent had one since the terrible w800 (I think, it was orange and white and absolute gash), as was the k7 something I had before it. I also sent back a Satio recently which was absolute rubbish… but I will be keeping the x10, I really like it. Fortunately the distance selling regulations in the uk allow you to have a ‘cooling off period’ to send back internet purchases. There is nothing much ‘Sony’ about this phone in my opinion, you dont even have to install the sony pc software.
Ive not used the htc hd2 so I cant comment directly on that phone (but have used other htc’s) I like HTC as a brand, but thought I just mention the above. I do find it hard to believe that the windows mobile phone would be better to be honest.
so not true. it doesnt have any front camera! it can’t do any video call! just got it last week. was upset but then the rest are just find. or is it i cant find the setting to the secondary camera?
android phones will not support video calling… for android lovers, sec camera isn’t a big issue
this phone is the best than ever. but there is no second camera. it have only one camera with 8.0 MP. the camera is the greatest than other mobile cameras. if you love pictures, then buy Xperia x10. The phone is equipped with four sensors; Compass, proximity sensor, magnet field, accelerometer.
Xperia x10 is also equipped with 1Ghz processor, AMD Z430 graphic render, so you’ll be able to play your favourite 3D Games if the become available for android. better game quality than PSP.
you’ll have the option to change UI, if you don’t like the default SE UI called timescape. Xperia x10 is also equipped with AMD Z430 graphic render, so you’ll be able playing your favourite 3D Games if they become available for android. it has also GPS and A-GPS, so you’ll not gonna be lost in the jungle.
I will buy HD2 NO DOUBT!
I got HTC HD2. Studied the sets for a long time. Most of the time you look at emails, videos, photos, etc, and then the size of the screen is of greatest importance. If not, the phone is in your pocket and how thin it is matters. So there it is.
Interesting responses and discussions on the initial question.
A little digression please! It looks like we are missing great products in Europoe. Because, I am seriousely looking for smart phone with front and back camera in the range and size of HTC EVO or Experia X10. Is anybody aware of such product (with double camera and large screen) coming out soon?
