hi all,
i want to get a new phone...
but i can decide about the 2 phones from the header...
so i want to ask you about your experiences about these phones... what you like and what not?
and i heard that sony will release an Update somewhere around september this year...
so if i get the xperia x10, could i update it later without buying a new phone? (it has now android 1.6)
if yes and they upgrade the 64k colors to more, will the current one accep it?
The xperia x10 has 64k color,do u see a big difference compared tto the iphone with its 16 million colors?

If they bring out a new update , will it only be on the phones they will make after its release or will i am be able to update it on my old phone ,too?

The Xperia X10 will get an update to the latest version of the OS sometime and will continue to get updated until Sony decides otherwise.
There is no real difference and the X10 looks like an amazing phone and it run android and that makes it even better.

Please don’t be fooled by the iPhone hype. I have used both of these phones and all the iphone can boast is the fact that it has more apps, but come on, the amount of crappy apps that are useless far out number the useful apps. The iPhone users say “oh well we have itunes”. So what? When you plug your xperia X10 in to the computer via the usb a program is put on your computer called media GO. In my opinion this far out does itunes. Very easy to use with such EASY features as one click and you have the program retrieving the album art. Also you can retrieve album art straight from your Xperia X10 as well. Xperia X10 runs on Android 1.6 for now which is a GREAT operating system far exceeding the old regular Iphone UI that everyone has known for a while now. In september or sooner the Xperia will be upgraded to the 2.1 or 2.2 android OS. As for your question about the 64k colors, the Xperia X10 is indeed 16 million colors, just that the 1.6 software is holding it at 64k for now. once the update to the 2.1 or higher the 16 million colors will be unleashed so to say. Saying that though, even with the 64k the Xperia x10 is the clearest, most crisp picture I have ever seen on any phone so worry not about the colors. All in all do yourself a favor and dont get the iphone. It is a piece of old junk now. The future is android and the X10 is the phone right now to use android on.
