I have t-mobile sk lx right now with a 2 year plan so I would have to get the iphone unlocked for t-mobile...would that bring down the value of having the iphone? or can the iphone with t-mobile do all the same functions as the regular iphone...please help!..thanks!

You can read cnet’s review of the g1 vs the iphone at http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-10049397-1.html
an I think their reviews are great, that’ss how I ended up buying the T-mobile Dash Last Year.

However in thatcomparison, you have to keep in mind that Apple’s encryption can be very harsh, for instance, with the ipod itself, you have to use the same computer to get the music or other files that you want instead of being able to go to any computer and adding stuff to your ipod. There are programs that allow you to extract your files for a price, but then you have to keep getting thta software on every computer you get on.

I would go with the G1 personally because it has a lot more yes compatiblity on cnet.com than ipod.

Now as far as Memory goes. Yes the ipod does have 8 gb of internal memory, but it does not have an expansion slot(a slot for an SD card).

You can buy 4gb Micro SD cards now if you know the right website.
Lastly Micro SD cards leave an easier way to transfer data from a computer to a phone with no special programs neccesary.
