I am out-of-contract right now with Verizon and have a $50 New Every 2 discount ready to put down on the new HTC Droid Incredible. A very nice phone with 3.7" AMOLED screen, 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8 GB internal memory, 8 MP camera. My other option is to jump ship to Sprint and go with the HTC Evo 4G: 4.3" TFT LCD screen, 1 GHz Snapdragon, 8 MP Camera, 1.3 MP front camera, HDMI out, and 4G WiMAX speed (I live in Chicago). I've always liked Verizon's customer service and coverage, and I'm afraid both won't be as good with Sprint, even though 4G is available in Chicago. With my work discount, single-line plans cost the same for both carriers. If I stay with Verizon, LTE would likely be available when I'm up for an upgrade. If I jump to Sprint, a family plan would be cheaper if I were to add a second smartphone line. I am really trying to ignore the fact that the Droid Incredible is being released on April 29th, and the Evo 4G is rumored to come out early June. What would you do? Thanks.

I just ordered the Incredible and it isn’t shipping until June 14 – bc it is in high demand. I can’t speak for the Sprint phone – but know that there is a wait on Incredible.

One word: Verizon.

Both are going to be nice phones, you probably won’t go wrong with either.
Personally I would go with the Evo. That huge screen, 4g, not to mention the potential that the front camera has is pretty awesome.
As for the Incredible, 8gb of storage means a lot of space for apps. I have a Samsung Moment that uses AMOLED for the screen. It’s really nice looking. 3.7″ is still a good size. It might be even better if you where tight pants. =D
I also like the prices of Sprint’s plans. Even my friends who work for Verizon say the smartphone plans are over priced.
You still have a nice phone either way.
