I personally think Android is better. It has a LOT of potentials.

Maemo 5 is linux first of all, like the Web OS on the palm pre. You liked that? I didn’t. I think Android is the way to go.

      Android 2.1.

Well the android os has more features, looks better and has over 50,000 application on the application marketplace.

While the N900 might not be that bad… it seems to be less popular than Android.

Not just about going with the flow, but the OS that’s more popular (Android) would likely get higher chance of community support, including expansion of functionality through applications.

Besides, Nokia going away with MeeGo while the internet attention sphere seems to revolve around the newest toys doesn’t seems like tipping the balance to Maemo 5. It’ll be probably got forgotten in the corner of memories by much of supporter when the new thing came out, regardless of how they would still support it currently. :P
