On the Hero, HTC developed a new user interface. Think of it like a skin. A skin over the stock Android operating system. The insides work the same, but it’s covered by a really pretty skin. It’s still the same OS.

The user interface is called the Sense UI. It will not be available to any, “with Google.” branded phones, like the G1 and myTouch 3G.

Its just a different skin. If you’re using the android app called ahome, you can apply that skin to the g1.
