My dell cant find my usb device?

We just got a dell (used) and it has a usb port on it. When i plug in my android it dosnt find it. I go to my computer and under "devices with removeble storage" there is only floppy disk (that blew my mind) and the cd drive. There is no usb option like ive seen on newer computers and laptops. It runs on windows x. I just wanna put a podcast on my android,, please help

What would be a better device to get: PS Vita or (Google Galaxy Nexus)?

I am saving my money for one of those devices. I'm also interested on the Iphone 4s. I know that PS Vita is a portable video game system, but it has many nice upgrades like a touchscreen, hd display, camera, and apps. In your opinion, which is best to get and why?

I have metro and I really want a phone running WP7 but metro currently doesnt have any WP7 devices available, only android phones and then 1 WinMo 6.5 device which is what I own. I was thinking into buying the LG Optimus M since its an android phone and it looks pretty cool but I dont want to buy it and then 3 or 4 months later Metro announces the release of a WP7 device, because luck tends to take a shit on me like that. I really dont want to switch providers just because I want a phone that metro doesnt have and I want to buy an unlocked version of the phone and have to flash it over to Metro's network. My question is, do you think that one day Metro will even come out with a WP7 device, or better yet does anybody have any news feeds or leaked info stating that Metro will/may come out with one?
