@darthkimball well its a mildly complicated process, but its easy enough if you follow the instructions, try googling cyanogenmod or theunlockr to get started, i should warn you though, it is possible to severely mess up your phone if you don’t follow the instructions

@raydar670 what do you mean root it to get 2.2? how would i do that?
April 18th, 2011 at 7:22 pm
@darthkimball they are no longer updating the g1 it will be stuck at the 1.6 android build forever (that means no flash)
the good thing is that you can root it and get 2.1 or 2.2 on it (2.2 has flash)

@Buddlebot
- its processor speed is almost double (g1 has 528 @max clock, nexus has 1000@base clock) AND the memory chip in the nexus has about 4 times the read speed of the g1’s
-so, i guess the question is ..what are you really asking me
April 19th, 2011 at 1:40 am
@Buddlebot i dont know if you are trying to call me stupid or what, but yeah -ive heard of the nexus one. ive been waiting for it to come out on verizon since its alleged release date of march 23rd. and the nexus one is a completely different much more powerful phone.
April 19th, 2011 at 2:37 am
@TheChrisRain yeah, its not nearly as much fun, i had to go back to a version of 1.6 that LOOKS like 2.1 and has a bunch of the features backported..
April 19th, 2011 at 2:38 am
@Trey112187 have you even herd of a nexus one
April 19th, 2011 at 2:46 am
Makes sense. Thanks (sorry, this is my new acc)
April 19th, 2011 at 3:02 am
@hbmkob probably because he has root access and flashed his phone to run on a different version of the android OS – like i did
April 19th, 2011 at 3:19 am
@chrismari123 thats because those people have root access and overclock their processors, it may look nice to you but it runs WAY too slow (android 2.1) it freezes alot. and the main reason for that isnt the processor but the speed of the memory which sucks -so it looks fine until it needs to load from memory

@MTown701 umm thought that i would point out that windows mobile os had mulittasking for like EVER and android has had it before the multitasking palms came out so, i believe what im saying is shut the hell up when you dont know what you are talking about also, this video is from 2008. so again – you dont know what you are talking about.
