@pmgreen08 Thank you. The assembly steps are just reverse directions of the take apart. All the same steps will be shown, only in reverse.

Great video, I was able to replace the screen, but where are the steps to put it back together?

@Surferboyy21 If doing a LCD replacement, you normally will not need new adhesive. Fresh adhesive is normally only recommended with replacement glass touch screen digitizer.

do you need the sticky tape too? No right?

thanks a lot bro.

@chegenyanzi The dock port is soldered onto the motherboard. You can follow this video for access to the motherboard and from there will need to remove the old charge port and re-solder on the new dock port.

Great vid. My screen was shattered and after watching this and installing a new screen it’s like I have a new phone! Thanks!

@MrJervon007 Normally will only take around 30 seconds – 1 minute.Use quick movements and do not stay in one area too long. Its always better to use less heat, more often.

@biozepp Re-assembling the Incredible 2 is actually very simple. All steps are shown, only in reverse.

Now I know why you don’t have a video on putting it back together. You don’t know how

@JPB14 The adhesive strips available at RepairsUniverse (dot) com are suggested. We have used these for years and a great way to attach touch screens. Also be sure to check out our “Touch Screen Assembly Guide” video in our channel for more info about applying adhesive.

Once you have pulled the screen off, how do you glue it back on?
February 20th, 2012 at 2:47 am
@kkay5510 The excess adhesive is always a bit tedious. We normally use a safe pry tool or flat head screwdriver to pull up as much adhesive as possible. At the end of the day though, a little bit of excess adhesive will not hurt anything.

I still have a lot of adhesive stuck to the LCD screen. How do I go about removing that?
February 20th, 2012 at 3:15 am
@kkay5510 Few possible ways of removing this screw. Applying a small bit of WD-40 or penetrating fluid to a Q-Tip is a great way of loosening screws, just don’t use too much. If that does not work you will need to use a screw extractor to remove the screw, or use a small drill bit to drill out the screw and remove. These are your two easiest options.

I can’t remove the screws with the T5 screwdriver. The screws won’t budge. No matter how hard I push down or how hard I try to unscrew them, they would unscrew. Any advice?

@kkay5510 No problem, hope the video helps!

Thank you very much!

@kkay5510 If it is the outer glass screen that is cracked, you will need to replace the touch screen digitizer. If there are issues with the display, then the LCD would need to be replaced. Replacement screens for the Incredible 2 can be found at RepairsUniverse (dot) com.

If the touch screen is working fine, but the screen is shattered, do we need to buy the Touch Screen Digitizer Replacement or the LCD Screen Replacement?
