Imagine ive paid almost S$1000 Singapore dollar juz so i can stream online content with Flash player capabilities and yet I cant! Then i searched the net. Was promised HTC Hero would update their Flash player by Jan 2010. Till now… no update yet. Then rumour has it would come by End february. Then now another rumor surfaced it would come by March. If i knew HTC HERO cant stream online, i would have juz bought a cheaper phone which doesnt have Flash capabilty. Think twice before buying!
None of this works on my Hero. In fact the only thing the built in flash player seems to like playing is the flash based ads on web pages. Its so frustrating because i like to view web pages in full format so it’d be great to simply play video content right there in the browser.
Soooooo annoying!! Esp since im contracted to this phone now for another year! Dohhh!!!
But overall i am impressed with HTC phones so my next purchase will have to be the HD2.
seriously? this looks so much better than skyfire’s (how you lock into flash, etc). i have skyfire for my touchpro and i is not capable of playing addicting games (for example).
It’s not that there is anything wrong with the HTC Hero’s Screen Pinching, the OS as a whole is a little bit laggy. The Multi-Touch works fine. I’m sure when the HTC hero has a release version and not beta, it will be a lot smoother. Hopefully Apple gets their acts together and doesn’t hinder flash being available for the iPhone as well.

This is great. It may be a little buggier than the iphone, but I’d prefer this more than the iPhone, only for this reason.
