Thanks! The screw in the middle was hard to find, as a thick sheet of adhesive was covering it–but I found it and had something stuck in my headphone jack–and with a lot of banging and twirling around the room, the thing got out!

@user576091 Yes, you will need to disassemble to get access to the inside of the keyboard. We do carry replacement keyboards at RepairsUniverse (dot) com in our Droid Full Housing Assembly.

I’ve been looking all over for videos that cover the replacement of the qwerty keyboard(mine have bubbled up and began to pop off). I’m just buying time before my next contract renewal (5 months) till i get a new phone, and super glue just aint cutting it for me. Does the phone need to be completely disassembled to replace the plastic qwerty keyboard on this A855?…thanks!!

Thank you so much sir. I had a phone with a headphone jack connection problem and your instructions helped to open it up and figure out and fix it myself. great video!!!!
for anyone looking to open up their phone, be very careful when removing the cover thing over the camera, it had an adhesive on the back and it wont reattach if you handle it rowdily. take care of your device. i had to use a make shift adhesive because i was too forceful. I appreciate your help!

Would it be possible to replace the CPU with an upgrade? Like the Nvidia Tegra 2?
(I apologize if this is a dumb question)

@g0ose421 You can just peel it off.

Please make a video of you REASSEMBLING this. And if you would… can you answer me if there is a difference in taking apart and reassembling the A955?
October 22nd, 2011 at 6:53 am
@osmosizz Yes this is correct. Just install it, put the phone back together and it will be good to go.

when i oput everything back and i try starting the phone, everything should work right? there is no android os restart or hacking to get the screen to work? it should just start working normally without any problem right?
