Can you actually download the maps for navigation? because if you are not on an unlimited data plan I’d imagine? constantly downloading new content as you navigate would eat up a lot of data/money.
Thanks for the review!

You forgot to mention the coolest part. When you arrive at your destination, a picture of the location will pop up. If you hit the little “person” icon, you will get a street view that you can move around to look at the scene in front of the destination 360 degrees. This won’t work with all destinations, but it worked with the car dealership that I went to today.

Wrong. Nav route is cached to memory. Keeps going in the background. No data signal needed. (I own the Droid)

mattle2009 is wrong, the $29.99 data feature includes unlimited data as well as unlimited text, picture, and video messaging, as well unlimited email.

Great video. Thanks!

Sucks when the call comes in … Product becomes useless … because of NO caching.

Verizon charges $29.99 on top of your voice plan.. it only includes data not messaging.

great quality video…im so sick of watching idiots fumbling around with the phone in their hands while trying to explain shit lol

Yes, that is a limitation of all OTA navigation systems like TeleNav, Sprint Nav, AT&T Nav, and VZ Nav. It does cache your trip and you can just view the list of directions if needed, but if you veered off course in an area with no cellular reception area, it cannot re-route you.

Is there an offline mode for when you find yourself out of signal and thus the net? If you live in an area where the signal isn’t strongest all the time … you really won’t be able to fully trust this fantastic ap.
