how’d you download opera mini?
April 24th, 2010 at 7:04 pm
Oh my word ! Great !
My buddy with his Iphone 3GS was suppose to come over my house so we could do a side by side comparison on video but after he seen how fast the N1 was I can’t get him to come over to do the comparison
April 24th, 2010 at 7:30 pm
The N1 is damn great, can’t wait for it.
Nice tests man, great video quality we can clearly see what’s going on and you perfectly introduce the test each time.
Keep going

Oh, maybe the setting was just for the beta build.
Hows that 1GHz Snapdragon treating you though?
April 24th, 2010 at 9:23 pm
Opera Mini does that by default and you can’t change it.
I took a look at the setting and there is nothing there about turbo.
When you said that I was hopping it was even faster.
April 24th, 2010 at 10:07 pm
Its Opera’s new feature that compresses data before it is sent to your phone, saving bandwidth and processing time. Go to Tools > Quick Preferences and click Enable Opera Turbo.
April 24th, 2010 at 11:02 pm
Sorry but I don’t know anything about turbo mode.
April 24th, 2010 at 11:34 pm
Are you using Opera’s turbo mode? How bout some numbers with and without it on?
April 25th, 2010 at 12:09 am
I know, that’s why I said that the browser was fast not the phone.
thanks for the reply
But I’m sure that most people don’t know this and now they do
April 25th, 2010 at 12:24 am
this is hardly due to the phone, opera mini downloads a compressed website ground down by the opera servers (which work on a faster-than-T1 connection). The speed should be the same on any device running opera mini. On top of that, image quality is decreased, and navigation on opera-mini for android is abysmal.
Don’t get me wrong, I personally use and like opera mini when I load sites that i know take a long while or on EDGE, but I hoped they’d make a native one that works right on android

Thanks for the Comments guys.
Forgive my voice I have a cold.
I’m going to put up at least 3 more vids on the topic and one will be a side by side comparison with the Iphone 3GS
