I often get asked what the keyboards look like on Android devices so in this video I took a look at the HTC keyboard variants and Swype. I really like the HTC full QWERTY keyboard for several reasons.

Also thought I would mention SlideIT, which is a replacement keyboard similar to Swype and is available on the market as a free trial and a paid app. I actually prefer SlideIT to Swype (and the fact that I don’t have to jump through stupid beta signup hoops to get the .apk file…) Works on all Android versions, give it a shot.

Oh, and with this Swype – that was a pre-loaded App, right? Or is that there on the EVO already?

Just FYI when I use swype on mytouch slide I don’t have to press the spacebar after each word I just slide stop slide. I don’t know if you that would work for you.

im using a moto droid, and after seeing this video, i want the evo 4g as well. btw, what is that note app on your home screen?
