Dirty Jobs' Mike Rowe talks to IntoMobile about why the rugged Motorola i1 iDEN Android phone is a good fit for him. The i1 runs Android 1.5 and features a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi and PTT technology. Mike says he's replaced seven phones in five years, and he's apparently lost his sense of smell in the process. That's probably a good thing for Mr. Dirty Jobs.

This video isn’t captioned even though there’s a CC icon on it. Actual captions would be nice for hard of hearing people to see to understand better what’s being said (there’s too much noise in the background).

That phone is an i1 not an i9. At the end of the video the guy says he’s an expert on the phone but he doesn’t even know what phone it is. I would have this video pulled out if I were that guy.

I’m surprised these reporters who went to the CTIA didn’t give us any details about the iDEN data speed; if Motorola, Sprint and other iDEN carriers will upgrade the data speed on the network. This is what most of us, iDEN users, have been talking about for the last 5 years!!
